Warbunny's App
« on: 2011-03-06, 13:23:07 »
General Info

Character name(s), class(s), build(s), and level(s)

Warbunny - level 11 Goblin Warrior.  Fury at the moment but I am hoping to try out tanking.

Peacebunny - Newly made Troll Druid.  Most definitely going to be Resto at some point but at the moment going to level as cat.

Player name (We operate on a first name basis in HDL)

Amanda, friend of Mark!

Player age - [HDL] guild and Ventrilo chatter is for mature audiences only. If you are not 18+, you will need to be sponsored by a guild member in good standing.

I am 24 years old, turning 25 in April.  No problems here!

Where did you hear about [HDL]?

Mark talks about you guys a lot =P

Why do you want to join [HDL]?

Aside from my burning curiosity to meet everyone Mark has told me about, I want the opportunity to try out playing a melee spec.  I want to try tanking and melee dpsing in high end content eventually and I know I will never get that chance in my current guild on Blade's Edge since I am their main healer.  At least in HDL I know I might get that chance and I have the opportunity to meet some new awesome-sounding people.

What is your guild membership history? Why did you leave or want to leave?

I'm not leaving my current guild, no.  As their only healer at the moment that would be um...bad.  However, they are very casual.  We have yet to even try the new content for raiding and are currently working on training our members who have never raided on LK content.  We beat the Lich King first time the day before Cata came out.  our progression is slow, and lately seems a bit slow for my taste.  I was first to turn 85 and I was the best geared in guild for 4 months.  We have long lulls of inaction and that does get frustrating from time to time, which is another reason I would like to be involved in another guild.

What do you want from a guild?

Company, lols, good conversations.  I like the people, I play for the people.  It's the reason I have not left my current guild.  But lately I have also wanted a guild that can help me move forward as a player and allow me to explore more things within the game.

Can you follow kill order?

Yes.  I don't usually dps but I'm not bad at it.  I listen to the tank and pay attention to what we are facing.  If it's a healer, it dies fast.  If it's something that makes our healer's life a little more miserable, it dies next.  That's my usual go-to but every fight is different and if someone wants me to kill something else I wont complain.

Are you a Casual player, Raiding oriented player, or a PvP oriented player?  If you think you are a combination of any of those, what percentage of time would you spend on each?

I only go in stages of inactivity when my current guild goes into a lull (or when something as fun as Dragon Age 2 comes out...) but I spend at least an hour or two on WoW a day.  I love raiding and prefer it to most everything else but if you know anything about Blade's Edge you know to PUG at your own risk.  I do enjoy leveling new toons as well, and a slight amount of PVP.  BG weekends are my prime time to level alts, but I wouldn't call myself hardcore in any way.

Raiding Questions

Will you dedicate 5 days a week to raiding?

I cannot.  Tuesdays I am devoted to my other guild, I have a part time job that has me working nights sometimes, and I just got accepted into grad school.  Two or three times a week is much more doable.

If you answered ""Yes" to the question above, are you aware that [HDL] is not a hard core raiding guild?

Yes I am, but in comparison to my guild you are more "hardcore" =P

Will you dedicate 2 nights a week to raiding?

I can do that, when I am finally raiding level.

Are you willing to take/accept criticism to make you a better player?

Most definitely.  I accept constructive criticism all the time.  What I don't accept are those who just say "you suck, get better"  That never helps.  If I know what I am doing wrong I can fix it.  If I know I need to up performance in an area, I can figure it out.

We do require Omen and Deadly Boss Mods. Do you have these installed?

Already have them.

What is your primary and secondary talent build? Which do you prefer?

At the moment I am fury, too low level for second talent, but I am hoping to try tanking in prot.  If I like it enough, I'll move it to my primary.  I am having fun with fury though.

What is your rotation for your primary and secondary builds?

At the moment:charge (when I can) victory rush (when necessary) rend, bloodthirst, thunderclap (if needed) I mean, I don't have much to work with at the moment.

Explain your gear choices, including gems and enchants.

Still learning about warriors, but I do know strength is the bread and butter.  Tanking is something else.  I know you can't just gem stam anymore, and there are caps you need to reach for parry and the like.  Tanking ain't like Kansas anymore.

What do you think of Gearscore?

Good to know when someone doesn't realize their gear is greatly overwhelmed by content and shouldn't be in raid, but it doesn't define the player.

PVP Questions

You are headed to run an instance with non-guildies when you spot a flagged gnome. What is the proper course of action: 1) Ignore the gnome and head to the instance, 2) Send a message to the guild of your find. flag immediately, and kill the gnome, leaving the PUG to wait, or 3) neither. If you selected 3, what course of action would you take?

Ignore him, but alert guildies.  If they want to get going it's best not to inconvenience them but if they're all for a slaughter fest, go for it!

What is the proper course of action: 1) Ignore the gnome and head to the instance, 2) Send a message to the guild of your find, flag immediately, and kill the gnome, leaving the group to wait, or 3) neither. If you selected 3, what course of action would you take?

Again?  Screw the gnome, kill it.

A tea bag is 1) a small porous bag containing tea leaves or powdered tea, onto which boiling water is poured in order to make a drink of tea, or 2) a verb.

3) Both. =P

Do you prefer Battlegrounds, Arenas, or World PVP? Why?

Never done much Arena but I really enjoy BG's.  I'm more of a pve player so I like to keep them separate.  Unless I am bored and someone is being dumb.  Like thinking two warriors 2 levels below my shadowpriest have a chance...stupid nubs.

What is your favorite battleground? Why?

Hard to say.  I don't like eye of the storm or strand of the ancients much, and the new BG's just seem too much like carbon copies of old BG's for me to care for them much.  But I have a fondness for arathi basin.  There's something about stealthing by a flag as a rogue and saping alliance that makes me smile.

Rank in important to stack for an Arena battle: Resilience, Attack Power/Spell Power, Critical Strike, Hit Rating.

Resilience.  Bread and butter for pvp from what I've heard.  Thought stam should be on there too.  I don't know much about the others though.

Social Questions

How would you rate yourself as a World of Warcraft player?

Higher end casual.  I'm competent, willing to learn, I research my class and I work with the people around me, not against them.  That's just silly.  I try to learn about every class and have a vague awareness of them in case the knowledge can be useful in a raid or instance.

Does .Net suck?

I like .Net.  It makes me feel safe.  Unless we're talking about something completely different and I just have no idea.

Whiskey or whisky?

Whiskey.  That's what my spell check is telling me right now.  =P

Rank in importance to you: Raiding, Fun, PVP, Loot, Camaraderie, Wine, Women/Men, Music, Altaholism, Crafting.

My husband (I should put that first shouldn't I?), Fun, Camaraderie, Raiding, Crafting, Altaholism, PVP, Music, RUM (I don't like wine)

Please provide a perl script that will sort a CSV file by first column, then second, and then insert into a mysql database.

I am so confused.  Wait, let me get my husband.
Nope, he doesn't know either, but he can write it in MATLAB or R.

What is your favorite instance? What is your favorite boss fight?

Deadmines.  Vanessa makes me so happy with the video game type dodging style maze.  I love it!

Are you easily offended? Is your hot button race, religion, sex, or politics?

OMFG How could you ask me that?!  I am so offended!  No, no, really no.  I respect others opinions too much to get offended easily.  So long as there is no tentacle rape.  Or maybe there is.  Pics?

Are you aware the [HDL] is largely a collection of angry and cynical players and under-geared toons?

I know what mark has told me and it sounds like fun.  If anyone acts emo though I am kicking them in the head.

Really? Why do you still want to join [HDL]

This is a gif of a monkey riding a goat.
Your argument is invalid.

Joe voted no because you're married. HDL doesn't have enough single women for him to flirt with.

Do you know what "nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent;
personified in this case by a horrible cunt... me.

Why does every single discussion eventually come around to questions of my sexuality?  You guys are all perverts.

P.S. Is your husband hot?
